Transparent job alignment

An ATS resume checker that does not pretend to know an employer’s algorithm.

No outside tool can reproduce every company’s ATS configuration. CandidateLift gives you something more useful: an explainable estimate of how clearly your resume covers the language and requirements in a specific posting.

What the alignment score measures

CandidateLift extracts role requirements and checks for direct terms, supported aliases, and related evidence in your resume. The score summarizes visible coverage; it does not predict a hiring decision.

What a checker cannot know

Employers configure screening rules differently and may use knockout questions, recruiter searches, assessments, referrals, or manual review. A public checker cannot see those private settings.

How to use the report

Strengthen supported language first, then review genuine gaps before applying. A lower score can reveal a wording problem, but it can also mean the role is not a close match—and that is valuable information.

How it works

From base resume to role-specific wording.

  1. 01

    Scan the posting

Identify skills, qualifications, responsibilities, and priority phrases.

  2. 02

    Trace resume evidence

See which requirements have strong, partial, or missing support.

  3. 03

    Improve carefully

Apply only evidence-preserving changes and review the projected alignment.

Questions people ask

What is a good resume match score?

There is no universal cutoff. Use the score comparatively to find weak coverage and confirm that the role genuinely fits your background.

Can an ATS reject a qualified candidate?

Screening workflows can miss relevant experience when terminology, parsing, or configured filters do not surface it clearly. Employer practices vary.

Does CandidateLift guarantee an interview?

No. It improves clarity and alignment but cannot control employer screening, competition, or hiring decisions.
